Colin McPhee’s transcriptions of Balinese ceremonial music are interwoven with pieces by Godowsky, Debussy, Holst, and Baumbusch. The program closes with a transcription of a piece by Balinese composer Ni Nyoman Srayamurtikanti, originally written for Balinese shadow-puppet theater instruments.
